An Import Registration Certificate (IRC) is a mandatory legal requirement for businesses in Bangladesh intending to import goods commercially. The certificate is issued by the Office of the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports (CCI&E) under the Ministry of Commerce. Without it, no business can import goods legally through the customs authority.

Documents Required

- TIN Certificate

Online Application Process

Payment can be made through bank draft, pay order, or online banking (as instructed). - Submit Application
After submission, the system will provide an application tracking number. - Inspection & Approval
CCI&E officials may verify documents or conduct physical verification. Upon approval, your IRC Certificate will be issued electronically. - Receive IRC Certificate (digital or printed).
Renewal of IRC Certificate
IRC must be renewed annually by paying the prescribed renewal fees through the CCI&E portal within 60 days prior to expiry date. Late renewal may incur penalties.
